When you are a new Mum finding time to wash your hair, let alone exercise can be hard. But what if we told you there is an option to get you moving without having to find a babysitter, all whilst in the company of other like minded Mums! Well great news, Kangatraining has arrived in Springfield with two classes a week at Revive Yoga and Wellness Centre in Orion Springfield Central.
SO WHAT IS KANGATRAINING?
Kangatraining is a babywearing workout developed and specialised for Mums. The workout focuses on strengthening the muscles that have been impacted by birth and pregnancy.
Unlike other Mums & bubs workouts, babies are worn as an extra weight for Mums. So you don’t need to worry about finding a babysitter or having an unsettled baby in a pram or in a corner! Babies usually fall asleep in the carrier as the Mums dance and workout.
Apart from being physically beneficial it also gives you an opportunity to meet other local Mums in a fun, relaxed environment.
WHEN IS IT?
Kangatraining is on every Monday & Thursday 11.45am at Revive Yoga and Wellness Centre.
Your first class for Kangatraining is only $10! Casual classes after are $18 and class packs and direct debit options are available.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Although the workout is designed for Mums anyone can join in! Dads, grandparents, friends, siblings. They are all welcome.
Older babies are welcome too. Chi, the amazing instructor, has little doll carriers for the older ones so they can pretend to have their own baby and dance along beside you.
DON’T HAVE A CARRIER?
There are lots of carriers that are available for free at the classes. Chi has also been trained to properly fit carriers to ensure the best comfort for Mum & baby.
ABOUT THE TRAINER
Chis is a Mum of a gorgeous 10 month old son Leo. Being a Mum is tough and can get very lonely at times. After being terminated from her work, as Leo got very ill from childcare, she became a stay at home Mum. Everyday Chi struggled with finding the courage to leave the house especially without her baby.
After some googling she stumbled upon Kangatraining in Carindale. She booked herself into a class and that was it. She fell in love. Being a Mum your whole focus shifts to looking after your baby. Kangatraining is the one thing she does for herself. This is why she decided to start classes in Springfield. Chi wants other Mums to spoil themselves and take time for them, in an easy and convenient way.
